Faith scrapping in Derbyshire

Last Thursday I drove to the Derbyshire Dales to stay at the Dove Valley Centre for a scrapbooking retreat with some friends from FaithscrappersUK. We stayed in a barn and hayloft conversion which also had an art studio attached. The studio was big enough for 12 people to work in, however there were only 5 of us so we had lots of room each.

On Friday morning we drove to Artist Trading Post for a 3 hour Creative Scrapbooking Workshop with Anneliese. You can read what Anneliese thought on her blog!   We had a fabulous morning and almost finished three layouts. I would have finished all three if I’d taken the information with me about where in New Zealand I took the photos of the black swans. Each layout had a different technique which we can use on other layouts.

On this one, we cut around the foliage and slid the photo behind it.

On the 2nd layout we made a little mini-book of photos.

The main technique on the third layout was making a frame which was torn and distressed.

More will follow about the retreat and the birthday sleepover.
