Passport to Art Day 15

If you want to join in with making an altered book through the month of July click through to the Passport to Art challenge blog.

Here on this blog I am going to share how I made the page for today's prompt.  We are on a Virtual Journey for the next 5 days and the we are visiting Ephesus today.  The art challenge is to stamp with an embossing folder.

Here's today's page with the making tape on.

And this is the other side.  The left hand part will fold over onto the page shown above.

I covered the page in gesso and then used three colours of distress inks to colour the page.

I used Salt Ocean Distress Ink on the piece to be folded over through a map stencil.

At the top of the page I stamped with the embossing folder using water which looks like the page has been bleached.  At the bottom I used another embossing folder and black Archival ink.

I removed the masking tape and wrote my journaling.  I cut up the quote and stuck it on.

I put the Bible verse on the folded piece.

Thanks for stopping by.
