I've read 13 books so far this year and half way through Walking on Water by Madeline L'Engle which is wonderful. I'm reading books to deepen my relationship with the Lord and grow in my creativity and giftings. This year the Lord has asked me to write along with my art....to tell my story. I'm using Dr Dan Allender's book "to be told" and workbook for this project. It is stretching me to say the least but I'm excited. No interest in publishing...this is for my children and grandchildren. Some favorites from this year--Finding Divine Inspiration by J Scott McElroy, The Broken Way by Ann Voskamp, Framing Faith by Matt Knisely, She Reads Truth by Myers & Williams, bird by bird by Ann Lamott. THEN I have a friend who is luring me back into knitting which I haven't done since my boys were little knitting Christmas socks. Plan to enroll in a sock knitting course and bought a book with different sock patterns.
BTW Susan, I love anything written by Henri Nouwen!
Thanks Bernice for ALWAYS inspiring me with your blogs and beautiful work!Shawnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15939935300912618047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7308268226874773643.post-42598287081304534542017-04-10T13:47:51.812+00:002017-04-10T13:47:51.812+00:00I am all over the map when it comes to reading and...I am all over the map when it comes to reading and I have piles of books that I am reading, wanting to read, and have read-it's a sickness really! I just finished Henri Nouwen's book, Spiritual Direction and am currently reading The Known World by Edward P. Jones. Sounds like we could be twins on this!:-) I too have a Kindle and an iPad and I read that every day for an hour or so when I go to bed. Unlike you I have read almost all of those on my Kindle, many of them crime novels, but others also. Technique books I buy as I like those printed. I tend to read those as and when I need the technique.dorothypandorasboxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01017843814164632335noreply@blogger.com
