E is for Emotions (take 2)

Here on this blog I am going to share how I made the page for today's prompt on Emotions.   I have 4 pages to catch up on that I missed earlier in the month.

I sprayed the inks onto the page with some extra water sprayed on so the inks would move about.

I sprayed water through the stencil to get the ghosting effect.  Although the end result was a little disappointing!

I found some collaged pieces of canvas left over from an online class I did with Roben-Marie Smith.

I chose a piece, turned it over and drew round a Kraft tag.

I stuck the tags onto my page so that they hung over the edge.   They are a bit heavy for the paper but fortunately the back of this page has acrylic paint on it so that has strengthened it a bit.

I inked the edges of the verse and quote and stuck them down.  I stamped the word and painted the colour using the Distress ReInker.

I wrote my journaling.

S is for Self Image

Here on this blog I am going to share how I made the page for today's prompt on Self Image.

In this journal I like the pages that lie side by side to have the same colour scheme if possible.  Here I sprayed inks onto both pages and then closed the book so that the inks merged on both sides.

Do you remember doing this at school to get a butterfly effect?

Then I worked on the page on the left by spraying some more lime green.

I used one of the silhouettes from the pdf download for today and stuck it down on my page with removable tape.  If you're quick you can use glue stick instead.

Then I sprayed with a turquoise ink, left it to air dry for a while and then dried it off with a paper towel.

When I removed the silhouette I was left with this fabulous colour shining through.

I stamped the word and stuck on the quote and the verse.   I coloured in the word with a glaze pen.

And then I added the journaling inside the shape.

12 Months in View: Guest Blog Post Call Out

12 Months in View is a new creative challenge blog starting on 4th March. Each month will have creative challenges involving some or all of art journaling, photography, sewing, scrapbooking, cookery, altered items and anything else creative!
