Gratitude Journal: Day 6

If you want to join in with making an Attitude of Gratitude Journal through the month of November click through to the Challenge blog.

Here on this blog I am going to share how I made the page for today's prompt on Declaration.

Today's art challenge was to use one of the techniques using Ranger Distress products.

I used a new stencil with three colours of Distress Ink applied with a blending tool.

I went over the whole page with Wild Honey Distress Ink using a blending tool.

I stuck down the title, the quote and the verse.

As I was doing the stencilling I thought that I would do the journaling around some of the circles.  However when I looked at the page alongside yesterday's page I decided to do the writing between the verse and quote.

Photo Challenge

On 12 Months in View every month we take a photo of the same place to build up a 12 month picture of the seasonal changes.

I was away last month at challenge time but took the photo of my back garden as soon as I could although I didn't share it.  So here is October.

And here is November.

As you can see the Maple has more Autumnal colour.

Thanks for stopping by.

Gratitude Journal: Day 5

If you want to join in with making an Attitude of Gratitude Journal through the month of November click through to the Challenge blog.

Here on this blog I am going to share how I made the page for today's prompt on Community.

Today's art challenge was to use one of the techniques using any Ranger Distress product.

Still using my limited palette of Distress Paint, I put some blobs of paint across the top of my page.

I held the journal upright and sprayed water to make the paint run down the paper.

I stuck my title letters down.  I cut out the verse and the quote and stuck them down after inking the edges.

I wrote my journaling in the lines made by the paint runs.

Thanks for stopping by.
