Gratitude Journal: Day 8

If you want to join in with making an Attitude of Gratitude Journal through the month of November click through to the Challenge blog.

Here on this blog I am going to share how I made the page for today's prompt on Fun.

Today's art challenge was to use one of the techniques adding texture to the page.

As I am working directly into a journal I used tags to add the texture.  I worked out where I was going to place the tags.

I ran the tags through my Cuttlebug using 3 different stencils.

I glued the tags to the page and then used Distress Inks over the top.

I added the quote and the verse and used letter stickers for the title.  I journalled along the edges of some of the tags.

MLD Meme

Carolyn has a weekly meme on Thursdays called Messy Little Details.  Find out about it here.  Why don't you join in?

I know I said last week's photo was the last from my New England holiday but I decided to do one more!  I don't often take night time photos and as I don't practise often enough they are are frequently no good.  However I thought this one was reasonable.   It was taken in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

Gratitude Journal: Day 7

If you want to join in with making an Attitude of Gratitude Journal through the month of November click through to the Challenge blog.

Here on this blog I am going to share how I made the page for today's prompt on Experience.

Today's art challenge was to use one of the techniques using Ranger Distress products.

I watched the video on using re-inkers and put some colours down on the sheet.  They came somewhat stronger and browner than I had hoped.  If you don't have any re-inkers you can do the same technique by swiping your ink pad onto the mat.

I used a blending tool to put some Distress ink on the large white space.

It was still a bit too bold and brown so I sprayed some White Linen Dylusions ink through a stencil.

I added the title, verse and quote and used butterfly stickers.

I wrote my journaling along the path the butterflies are taking!
