For 21 days in May I am running an art challenge blog called The Art of Practising Gratitude. Today's post is here. On my blog I will be showing what I did in response to the blog post.
Today's challenge was to get really inky. And I did, but I didn't exactly follow the instructions in the video. I used a pizza box to spray into which is why the photo looks a bit dark
I sprayed lots of ink and water.
And this is what I ended up with.
Here's my book.
I cut the sprayed paper down and stuck it in my book. I stamped the words (and in the process found that I'd lost the k), stencilled a bit on the left hand page with Distress Inks, stuck down the Bible verse and wrote my journaling.
Thanks for stopping by.

Practising Gratitude day 12: Pay compliments
For 21 days in May I am running an art challenge blog called The Art of Practising Gratitude. Today's post is here. On my blog I will be showing what I did in response to the blog post.
Today's challenge was to use Inktense pencils with a stencil. Of course this technique can be done with any water soluble pencil. Here are my pages before I started.
I painted some turquoise acrylic over the pages. Then using pink and 2 shades of orange (one of which looks yellow in the photo) I drew around some of the white shapes with the Inktense pencil and then used a paintbrush and water to make a wash over the shape.
I stamped the words.
And glued down the Bible verse.
I wrote my journaling with silver pen under the word. I also drew round some of the shapes with the silver pen.
And here is my gratitude list to date.
Thanks for stopping by.

Laughter, song & dance
One of the tasks from the Gifts of Imperfection course was to make a playlist of songs and an album cover to go with it.
We were supposed to find songs that authentically spoke to us! However I'm not sure that's the case with all my songs. And we had 5 categories to match up. How do you choose 5 songs from the vast repertoire out there? And the list might change from week to week or even day to day!
But here's the selection I made with the album cover.
1. A song that lifts me up.
2. A song I love to dance to
3. A song I want to sing along to
4. A song to get me through the tough times
5. A feisty song
What songs would you choose?
Thanks for stopping by.
