Advent in November: Day 7

Welcome to Advent in November.  The inspiration for this blog post can be found here.   Information about how I started my tags can be found here and here and my Advent Journal here.

This tag had been dry embossed using an embossing folder and the Cuttlebug.   I added the colour to the raised parts using Pan Pastels.   I added the number and inked the edges of the tag.

I used the same angel stamp and inked the edges of the cut up verse.

I assembled the tag adding some washi tape and inking the edges.

The two sides.

Advent in November: Day 6

Welcome to Advent in November.  The inspiration for this blog post can be found here.   Information about how I started my tags can be found here and here and my Advent Journal here.

This tag had been heat embossed with gold embossing powder.  The image is a stamp that I put the embossing ink on to and stamped.   I put a thinned down coat of acrylic paint over the image.  I added some ribbon, the number and inked the edges.

I stamped the angel image using black Archival ink.  I cut up the verse and inked the edges.

I assembled the tag adding some washi tape and inking the edges.

The two tags before sticking them together.

I know some of you like to see the image of what I am ding rather than trying to imagine it. Here's what the first six tags look like together pegged onto my board.

I downloaded some child's colouring page images of the armour of God and transferred them onto the tags.   I inked round the edges of the tags.

I added the green star to add a bit of colour.

Advent in November: Day 5

Welcome to Advent in November.  The inspiration for this blog post can be found here.   Information about how I started my tags can be found here and here and my Advent Journal here.

I put some blue acrylic paint on my craft mat and sprayed some water. I swiped the tag through the paint and put it down on the paint and twisted it until the tag was covered in paint.  I added a small doily using matte medium and then added the number.

I used gold paint through a stencil.  I cheked to see how the cut up verse would fit.

I inked the edges of the verse.

I assembled the tag adding some washi tape and inking the edges.

Both sides together.

I wrote my journaling on white card inside the little book.

I added a wreath embellishment which helps keep the booklet closed.
