Advent in November: Day 10

Welcome to Advent in November.  The inspiration for this blog post can be found here.   Information about how I started my tags can be found here and here and my Advent Journal here.

Another dry embossed tag with Pan Pastel colouring.

This is the same stencil I used on day 3 but turned over the other way.  I stencilled with blue acrylic paint.

I assembled the tag and inked the edges.

The two sides of the tag

Advent in November: Day 9

Welcome to Advent in November.  The inspiration for this blog post can be found here.   Information about how I started my tags can be found here and here and my Advent Journal here.

This tag had been dry embossed and then I painted over it with blue acrylic paint.  I went over the candles with white Pan Pastel and used a silver pen to colour the flames.

I think this is probably a stamp of a shepherd but I used it to represent Joseph.

I assembled the tag, adding some washi tape and inked the edges.

Each tag ready to be stuck together

The 2010 version of the study had more topics so I covered up the previous information on this page and have left it to see what I might put in there.

Day 9

I added a patterned circle cut from an old Christmas card and drew around the existing papers with a gold pen.  I added the journaling.

Advent in November: Day 8

Welcome to Advent in November.  The inspiration for this blog post can be found here.   Information about how I started my tags can be found here and here and my Advent Journal here.

Another tag with modelling paste through a stencil and coloured with Pan Pastel.   You may have noticed that I rarely use the whole of a stencil across the whole of a tag.

For this tag I wanted the angel to be facing the other way.  So I applied the ink to the stamp and stamped it onto a piece of acetate and the pressed the acetate onto the tag.  I rather liked the faded look so didn't try again putting much more ink on the stamp!  I download a child's colouring sheet via Google and used it on the tag.  I printed the image out and then shaded over the reverse with a 3B pencil before turning it over and drawing over the image with a sharp HB pencil.  I went over the light image on the tag with a pen.

I assembled the tag and inked the edges.

Both sides of the tag.
