Print & Dye

Last week I went on a Print & Dye workshop at Littleheath Barn.

I took along my Artfull-Attaché as inspiration for the colours I wanted to use.

In the morning we printed with dye mixed with manutex.

In the afternoon we dyed plain fabrics - although we could Shibori techniques if we wanted to.  However mine have come out quite pale so I haven't photographed them.

I also took some drawings to be made into Thermofax screens.  I traced the birds form my photos and then John made them into screens.  Here I've printed onto fabric.

I'm really rather excited about them!!!

It was rather dark in the hotel where I was having a buffet breakfast so I took a photo of the sign instead.

Number 13 on the list is The Moon and I had hoped to take a photo of the strawberry moon on Monday evening but sadly it was too cloudy.

Today's post is about Psalm 22 in which the psalmist describes pain and suffering which foretells the death of Jesus.

I was really struggling to find how I was going to produce a journal page for this and was amazed to find Microsoft clipart images in Publisher that I could use.  I turned the image through 90 degrees and added the nail clipart and the words.
