G is for Goals

If you want to join in with making an A to Z of Me Journal through the month of February click through to the Challenge blog.

Here on this blog I am going to share how I made the page for today's prompt on Goals.

I put the doilies onto the page and sprayed two colours of Dylusions inks. And then removed the doilies.

I really liked how it turned out so decided not to add any other layers to it.  I stuck the verse and quote down and stamped the word.  I painted it with the ReInker.

I added my journaling in a spiral in the middle of one of the doily shapes.

This was really simple but I think it looks really effective.

Thanks for stopping by.

U is for Unique

If you want to join in with making an A to Z of Me Journal through the month of February click through to the Challenge blog.

Here on this blog I am going to share how I made the page for today's prompt on Unique.

I put three different shades of acrylic ink on the plastic bag.  I scooped the paint out of some Dabbers.

I put my page down onto the paint and pressed onto it.

There was a lot of wet paint so I closed the book again so there was paint on both sides.  That's how the turquoise paint got onto yesterday's page!  Siince you don't know what is coming tomorrow I suggest if you want a second print you use a piece of paper rather than the next page in your journal!

I used a brush to paint a thin layer of a yellow acrylic paint over the top.  I used a very wet brush and added water on the page.

I stamped the leaves across the top and down the side, inked the verse and quote and stuck them on.   I stamped the word.

I painted the green leaves using a brush and the lime spray ink.   I coloured in the word with a glaze pen.

I added my journaling.

I hope you are still enjoying the adventure.  Only 5 more letters to go!

F is for Fitness

If you want to join in with making an A to Z of Me Journal through the month of February click through to the Challenge blog.

Here on this blog I am going to share how I made the page for today's prompt on Fitness.

I thoroughly wet the page both with inks and water and then put a piece of bubble wrap on top.  The longer you leave the bubble wrap on water based ink and paint the better the result.  But don't let it dry if you are using acrylic as the bubble wrap with stick to the paint.

The result looked a bit like frog spawn.

I used two colours of distress ink through the arrow stencil.

I stuck the verse and the quote on after inking the edges.  I stamped the word and painted it with the Distress ReInker.  I stamped with two Tim Holtz stamps.

I finished the page with the journaling.

So only two more pages until I've caught up.

Thanks for stopping by
