I haven't made a tag for ages. Actually I feel as though I haven't been creative for ages!
As you know I can be quite dylusional and I belong to a group on Facebook for all those who have a similar addiction. It's the
Dyan Reaveley Society of Art Journaling. If you're a Dyan fan, why not check us out!
Every now and again Dyan sets us a challenge using her products for an art journaling page. I haven't been able to join in the other challenges but I decided I would give this one a go. We had to use her
snowflake stencil, Dylusions
London Blue spray ink and Santa's Beard from the
Christmas Accessories stamp. I don't have the last item so I improvised.
I sprayed the London Blue and the
Vibrant Turquoise onto my glass plate and squirted some water on as well. I swiped a
#10 tag through the inks and used another tag to take off the excess ink.
I sprayed water through the snowflake stencil and turned the stencil over and pressed the wet stencil on the bottom of the tag.
I stamped the
holly down one side of the tag. And painted the leaves with Holly Green Mica ink from Dyan's pre-Ranger range. I used Christmas Red
Stickles for the berries. I also put some modelling paste through the stencil in the hope that it might stay white but it didn't. Never mind!
I made the figure using
Tallulah Tripp and 3 of the beards for the skirt and one for the bodice. I used glue and glitter.
I stamped the words from the
Right Words set and stuck them on.
So there you are. A finished tag. And a challenge entry.
This morning I was reading Hels Sheridan's
blog and found a challenge there using holly as a theme so I'm going to add it there as well.
