If you want to join in with making an Attitude of Gratitude Journal through the month of November click through to the Challenge blog.
Here on this blog I am going to share how I made the page for today's prompt on Stories.
Today's art challenge was to use one of the techniques using stencils.
I watched Jessic Sporn's video on making a journal page. Usually I would only use a video like that as inspiration and go off on my own journey with it but this time I followed her method rather more. I'm not totally sure I like the finished result.
I printed these stamps with Black Archival ink on some tissue paper.
I painted some copper acrylic paint onto tissue paper. The one on the left is Distress Pint which was rather runny and went under the stencil. The one on the right is a thicker Golden paint.
I put gesso randomly on the page through the same stencil. I wworked on both pages of the journal so that they would match.
Then I used Inktense blocks and a wet brush. You can use watercolours or Dylusions inks to get a similar look.
Then I glued down bits of the stamped and painted tissue paper and part of a paper napkin.
I stencilled again with green gold Golden acrylic paint.
I stamped the title, added the verse and quote and wrote the journaling in the spaces in the stencil.
Thanks for stopping by.
Bernice
