More lines

Our photography theme this month has been lines.  I had already done a blog post here about Lines so didn't feel I could use any of those photos.    Here's my choice for this month - a few new photos and some from the archives!

Fence lines

Old fashioned lines

Shower curtain lines

Radiator lines

Machine sewn lines

Natural lines in the rock

Lines in the sand

I'm on the lookout for circles for the next theme!

Thanks for joining me today

Photos for Inspiration

On my computer I have gathered together photos into folders labelled Buildings, Decay, Line, Machines, Pattern, Rust, Shape and Texture.  Whenever and wherever I am out and about I take photos of these things which possibly have no relation to the outing I'm on.  They are supposed to provide inspiration for sketchbook work but really just reside on the computer.

So far there are 91 photos to do with Lines.  Fear not, I'm not going to share all of them here!

Lines and more lines

In my blog post about our visit to London I shared a photograph of the masts of the Cutty Sark.  I can't resist sharing all the other photos I took.

It's only as I posted the first photo here that I noticed the white aeroplane trail in the sky.

I have altered this photo to make it a silhouette.  However all the other photos are direct from the camera.

I love how the lines are layered because of the three masts.

Thanks for joining me today.

Festival of Quilts

Last weekend was the Festival of Quilts at the NEC.  It is the best craft related show at the NEC each year.  I was very fortunate to win 2 free tickets from Storage4Crafts, one of which I gave to a friend.  Then after the Show opened I was offered another free ticket in return for sitting on The Granary Studio stand for a couple of hours.

As a consequence I went on Friday afternoon and again on Sunday.   Here are the quilts that caught my eye.  You may notice a couple of themes!
Tempus Fugit by Cherilyn Martin

A Post-Truth Quilt by Sara Impey
