Glimpses of Jesus in the Old Testament is a year long bible study written by Simon Clay of Jubilee Church Solihull. You can join in at any time.
This week we are looking at the first glimpse of the saviour in Genesis 3. I found one of my photographs of a garden and added the words using Publisher.
The second page of my journal looked like this.
I put a light coat of green acrylic paint and stuck the photo onto the page. The stamping underneath still looked too strong so I put a thin coat of gesso on the top so that I could journal. In the photo below the journaling isn't quite finished yet - a bit personal!
You can join in with the Bible study without doing a creative response. I do hope you will join me.
Thanks for stopping by.

Stencil Club
In November I joined StencilClub which is run by Stencil Girl. I love Stencil Girl products and have quite a few!
The great thing about StencilClub is that the stencils are designed for and sold only to club members. You get three stencils with each month of your subscription: one 9" x 12" stencil, one 6"x 6" stencil and one 4" x 4" stencil.
The first stencils I received were December's subscription. I really wasn't expecting them to arrive before Christmas but they did!
And within 10 minutes I had put them to use making backgrounds.
I limited myself to 4 colours of paint and the 3 stencils and then just played using the Gelli plate.
I will probably print some more colours over the top next time I have the gelli plate out. They need a pop of white or black I think.
Thanks for stopping by.

A finished project
I love to celebrate my finished projects - mostly because there are so few of them. I have lots of things in progress!
You may remember that last year I did a class with Seth Apter called 52 Card Pickup. I didn't finish it on the day but hooray! I have finished all the cards.
And here are all 52 altered playing cards inside the covers.
I gave them all to a friend who was thrilled.
Thanks for stopping by.
