Missing in Action

I have no idea where the time goes.  It's October already!

My Dad has been in hospital for the last 2 weeks and may be allowed home sometime towards the end of this week.  Roger & I have been down to Carmarthenshire visiting him in West Wales hopsital.  It's over 3 hours drive from home and Dad's house is then another 50 minutes further on in Pembrokeshire.

In between trips we've kept up with the walking.  Last week we did a long walk from Smethwick into the middle of Birmingham.  We thought it would be all derelict buildings and not very nice but in fact it was a positive oasis of calm ~ a green corridor along the canal through the city.

I've also been very busy preparing the daily blog posts for the Attitude of Gratitude Journal Challenge Blog.  I've finished all the daily posts apart from adding the guest posts.  I've finished all the PDF downloads and added them to a PDF hosting service.  I just need to add the InLinkz connection to each post.  I really hadn't realised how time consuming it would be but I have really enjoyed it.

On Saturday I spent the day with Kat Sloma on her A Sense of Place workshop.  It was fascinating to think about the philosophy of taking photos and not just the technical side of things.  In the afternoon we went for a walk to put into practice some of the things we'd talked about.

Hoping to be back on course with blogging very soon.  Thanks for popping by.

Bernice

  1. I'm sorry to read your Dad has been in hospital, and hope he is making good progress ... Your photos are lovely - I especially like the patterns and textures of that last one.
