Last October (2021) when I was at Committed to Cloth I cut up lots of fabric and reassembled it. I ended up with these three:
Aprox 48x30cms |
Approx 55x50cms |
Approx 97x57cms |
Each piece lay on the spare bed from then on.
At the beginning of January 2022 I set myself the goal of finishing them all by March 31st. A reasonable goal you might think.
Unless you don't touch them again until March 30th. !!!!
I managed to complete the smallest one by the end of March 31st. Go me!
Finished size 49x30cms |
And finish this on by lunchtime yesterday, April 1st.
Finished size 56x52cms |
But sadly the third piece hasn't been touched as I ran out of the colour thread I was using and I'm waiting for the new thread to arrive.
Still two out of three isn't bad!
Did you set yourself any goals at the beginning of the year? If so, how are you getting on?
Thanks for joining me today.
Bernice
Well done you for two out of three. I long ago stopped setting goals at the beginning of the year, I was always too disappointed in myself as they slipped into obscurity, you've obviously got a better "keep at it" gene than me (despite much childhood nagging by my Mum)! These are looking grand, the colours work so well with each other don't they? Very evocative of the tones and textures of Venice, sun warmed stone and brick and the blue blue sky and water. Lovely :-)
