Here are my pages for the last few weeks. I am really pleased with myself that I am keeping up with this. Sometimes I fill it in on the day and sometimes I do several days at once to finish the week.
Week 16
While I was away I received a thank you card which I stuck into my planner.
Week 17
The prompt for One Little Word for April was to let something go which I wrote about on the photo. The other part of the prompt was to use photos to demonstrate how I was connecting to my word.
Week 18
This week we went to the Bluebell Woods near Yoxall and I stuck the leaflet into my planner.
I didn't have much to write about so I stuck the flap down to the lined page. The little April flap is part of One Little Word where we reflect on the month.
Thanks for stopping by.

What If?
So what if I tried using fabric paints and fabric with the shaving foam technique?
That's what I thought as I was using the technique with distress reinkers the other day.
So I tried it. I used Pebeo Setacolor Fabric paints, my can of really cheap shaving cream and some unwashed white cotton fabric. And here's what happened. Lots of photos for you!
Here is the shaving foam with the fabric paint dropped on to it.
I swirled the paints with a stick.
Put the fabric on top of the shaving cream and patted it down gently and pulled up the fabric.
I scraped the shaving foam off the fabric and discovered this!
This was how the shaving foam looked after taking that first print.
So I took another one with a new piece of fabric
Which looked like this.
I added some Magenta and stirred it in.
Took the fabric print.
And scraped off the foam to discover this.
Using Deli paper I took another print off the shaving foam.
And scraped off the foam to find this.
By this time the foam was really a bit yucky so I added some orange which wasn't necessarily a good idea but if you keep asking what if? this is what you get!
I didn't like what I got and obviously didn't take a photo!
I washed it all away and started again. This blue is called Indigo on the bottle!
Took the print
And got this
Then I thought .... what if I use a stencil so I put the stencil on the shaving foam and pressed the not nice orange fabric on top and got this.
However when I scraped off the foam I got this shadowy image instead.
I took another print from foam
And this was the result
And then with cartidge paper I took prints through the stencil
It looked like this after scraping off the foam.
And here's another one
I haven't quite decided what do with the fabric and papers but I really enjoyed the process.
Thanks for stopping by.

Practising Gratitude day 6: Be grateful
For 21 days in May I am running an art challenge blog called The Art of Practising Gratitude. Today's post is here. On my blog I am showing what I did in response to the blog post.
Today's art challenge was a different take on producing a background with Distress Inks. I'm not sure I was totally successful! I used 90lb watercolour paper and I suspect a more coated paper might have worked better. I used my 3 colours again risking some mud with the orange and turquoise.
I sprayed with water and rolled with the brayer.
I did another layer of the pink and orange.
I dried the paper with a heat gun and then added some turquoise.
I randomly stencilled on the paper.
Then stamped the flowers
And cut them out.
As they dried they looked a bit dull so I drew with gold pen on them.
Here is the page in my book and serendipity happened again. Here on this page the author is talking about Pollyanna and the 'glad game' where she found ways of being grateful for what she was given.
I stamped the words and glued down the flowers.
I cut up the verse, inked the edges and glued it to the page.
I wrote my journaling and then used some stickles to brighten up the centre of the flowers.
Thanks for stopping by.
