10+ in 5

What on earth does 10+ in 5 mean?  Well, my friend Sandie has a monthly photo challenge on her blog called 5 in 5.  You take as many photos as you can in 5 minutes and then choose 5 to share.  The photography group I am in chose to take this idea but share all the photos we took in the 5 minutes.

I haven't been out anywhere lately so I stood next to a tree in my back garden.  I may have taken the challenge too literally.  I stood in the same place for the 5 minutes, although I did turn around on the spot.  Looking at Sandie's photos I think it might be possible to move about to complete the challenge!

 

 

Some of the above are not as in focus as I would normally show people.  I did delte 2 that were really out of focus.

Festival of Quilts

Last weekend I went to the Festival of Quilts.  I am very fortunate that the show is only a 25 minute bus ride away.  I have a bus pass so the journey is free and I don't have to pay the extortionate amount that is charged for parking.   I was also very fortunate to be given a ticket for the show in return for an hour's stewarding on Leah Higgin's gallery.  Surrounded by breakdown printing!!

I spent much longer at the show than I would normally and I think I still managed to miss bits because photos come up on my Facebook newsfeed of textiles I don't remember seeing.  In this post you will only see photos of things that caught my eye.

P is for Promise

In our Living Your Word of the Year group we are using a fortnightly (bi-weekly) A-Z challenge throughout the year to help us focus on our word and live it out.

Because of the way I have made my journal it's a case of going with the flow of what background the pages have when I turn to them.

I'm not sure why I put candles on the page - I just knew I wanted to use the washi tape!

I found various Bible verses about promises and printed out four of them.

And here are the two pages together.
