Today's challenge was to produce a journal page based on any information or the quotes on the Introduction to May blog post.
I chose to use the quote: Spring is God's way of saying, One more time.
I sprayed blue ink through a stencil and without moving the stencil sprayed White Linen. I sprayed a small amount of the blue and the white linen at the top of the page and then sprayed water. I stood up the book so that the inks would move down the page.
I used a Dina Wakley stencil and some Distress Ink to stencil over the top.
I sprayed the whole page with yellow ink.
I stamped at the bottom of the page and stencilled with green distress ink.
I printed out the first part of the quote, cut it up and inked it before sticking it on the page. I stamped the words one more time with black Archival and then went round the letters with a white or red pen. It probably needs some white highlights on the flowers and leaves at the bottom of the page.
Thanks for stopping by.

ReplyDeleteLove how this turned out!
ReplyDeleteI love how you build the color and layers on your pages.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful! I have been doing my art digitally for so long, but these posts are making me want to go out to buy the supplies to start some art journaling and mixed media projects.
