Documented Life update

I have kept working on my Documented Life planner - even taking it with me to Florida - which added some weight to the luggage!!  While I was in the States I fed my Washi Tape addiction buying over 30 rolls!  Added to what I already own my tapes look like this:

On to the Documented Life update.  You can see other Documented Life posts by clicking on Documented Life Project at the bottom of this post.

Week 12

The challenge was to use bits cut from magazines.  I punched the butterflies.

Week 13
The challenge was to have someone else draw in your book and as I couldn't cope with that I stamped with a Dyan Reaveley stamp.  I thought that might count since I know her!

Week 14

The challenge was to write your name and decorate it.  It probably needs some more doodling.

Week 15
I ignored this week's challenge.

And then I took the scissors to the spine of my Planner and cut it open!

Come back tomorrow for an update of the update!  And what happened to the planner!

Thanks for stopping by.

Rejuvenate 2014

One of the reasons for the timing of my trip was to be able to attend Rejuvenate, a ladies only Friday evening and all day Saturday retreat organised by Betsy and other lovely ladies from The House in Palm Bay.

The Retreat Center is part of a school and church campus.  Each room is individually decorated by a sponsoring person.  Each room has a scripture attached to it.  Mine was Nahum 1:7  The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble.  He cares for those who trust in him.

On the Friday evening I showed the ladies how to make a notebook which they personalised.

And on the Saturday we were taught by these amazing ladies.  Carol Wheatley.  The photo isn't quite sharp but I love the idea of the finger of God poking Carol in the back.

And Laura Wallace

And here they are doing a Q&A session.  When they do this they are like a tag team!

We all had a great time both spiritually and socially.

Thanks for stopping by.

Planner Update

I have enjoyed playing with my planner as part of the Documented Life Project.  I haven't always taken part in the challenges however I have done the last four.   I am also including the Psalms study which is where the printouts are from.

Week 9 challenge: Collage something you recycled

Week 10: Make a list of the things that make you YOU

Week 11: Draw, photograph or collage a bird onto your page.
I had received some Happy Mail in the post and I used some of it to make the birds.

We went to London for two days and I collaged about the trip.  At the National Maritime Museum I was given a large paper carrier bag which I cut up and stuck onto the flaps.

And here's this week.
Week 12: Cut up a magazine..add!   I punched the butterflies out of magazine pages and stuck them on.

Here's the inside of the flap before I added the Psalm.

And with it.

The lined page ready for journaling.

Aren't these yummy?

A friend of mine owns an Etsy shop, Stash Panache, where she makes buttons as scrapbooking embellishments.  Here is a set currently in the shop.

As I am doing my One Little Word in my moleskine planner I asked Lisa if she would make me a set of 2D designs that I could print out and stick in my book.  Lisa will be launching this new format as Panache Prints.  I am so excited by what she designed for me.   So excited, I ordered two sets:

And here they are cut out

And one already glued into my planner.

The joy of them is that I can make them as big or as small as I like, print them out as many times as I like, and they won't make a dent in my book.

If you would like to order some personalised Boutique Buttons or Panache Prints go to Stash Panache and send Lisa a message.

Planner Update

This week I have been really pleased with how much I have got done.  You may have seen the book I finished during the week.

I also finished everything I needed to for the Identity blog and started planning the next thing!

In light of my One Little Word: Participate I decided to join in with a symbol swap with some ladies in the One Little Word Facebook group.  My symbol is a heart.

In addition I have kept up with my planner.   Recently I signed up for a Junelle Jacobsen class and yesterday she held an Open House.  Her creative idea was to be inspired by the designs from the Winter Olympics to make a set of blocks.  I decided I would use the idea for the inside of the flap for this week in my planner.   I took the Kraft card flap out to make it easier.  I used pieces of scrapbooking pages and glued them on with Ranger Multi Medium.  I stamped a Dylusions phrase on cards and cut it up.  I added some orange, green and white acrylic paint.

I put the flap back into the planner.

The other side of the flap had the Psalm 15 study.  I used this from Pinterest as inspiration for the page.

The Psalm images are from 52 Weeks of Psalms.

Now to get going on all the other things that need finishing - or starting in some cases.

Planner pages to date

At the end of January I shared with you my planner that I am doing as part of the Documented Life Project.

Here are some more pages.  I am adding the Psalms to each week although I have not added my journaling.  This is a project called 52 Weeks of Psalms.

Each week you might notice an artist's name.  This is the artist that's being studied in the class Studying under the Masters hosted by Jeanne Oliver.  I haven't even started!!!!  I'm trying to get the Identity study finished first.

Week 6

 Week 7
