Our second little trip away was to Derbyshire. We went to a wedding in Sheffield and to the reception which was near Buxton. We decided to book into a B&B in Tideswell and have a couple of extra days away. Strange to say I have no photos of the wedding.
However there are lots of photos of the other two days! But I have culled them so you don't need to worry.
This is one of the lanes in Tideswell.
And the view from the top of the hill across Derbyshire.
And another view.
We went a walk along the river and up onto the hills.
We managed to squeeze through this gap in the wall called a Squeezer Stile.

We visited Castleton. This is Peveril Castle
A view of Castleton.
A visit to Haddon Hall
A fabulous time.
Thanks for stopping by.

Beautiful photos Bernice. This is an area we know but we haven't been back for many years. Thank you for triggering happy memories.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos Bernice.
ReplyDeletewe used to visit this area and have happy memories of places you show. Glad you had a great time there.
You always take such lovely photos, love the reflection of the bridge in the water. Looks like the weather treated you well.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures Bernice!
ReplyDeleteI agree that your photos are lovely. Lucky you, getting to see all of that! I've always been fascinated with castles, but I've never gotten to actually see one. The UK is my #1 place I would love to visit.
