Machines, cogs & wheels

Earlier this month I shared some photos based on the theme of Lines.  This time I'm going to look at the folder labelled Machines.  Looking at the photos perhaps I should have named it Cogs & Wheels.

  1. Your post today reminds me of a piece of art outside the Museum of Art at University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. It is a 20' tall man built from gears and metal parts, that used to work automatically by wind or water power. His arms looked like they were sawing something. All rusty and worn, he was the perfect statute to represent the industrial age. Loved how he would be brought to life by nature in order to work. Art can certainly expose many feelings!
