Art Journaling in Derbyshire

At the weekend I went to Derbyshire to an art journaling workshop taught by Anneliese Bates from Creative Journey Workshops.

We were given an A4 sketchbook to work in and I am going to show you the whole book.  Some pages are finished, some are nearly finished and some have only been folded.

PVA resist

Lots of folded pages

 Masking tape resist

 Collage and gesso

 Masking tape

 Folded pages

Colorwash drippage

Paper towel in pva (left) and writing in gesso

 Collage

More folded pages

Collaged borders and collage

 Another collage in the making

Clear embossing resist (left) and drawing in pen

 Colorwash background

And the last page is a blank white page and the black cover.

I had a fabulous time and feel I achieved quite a lot.   The best thing is that I can share these techniques with those who are joining in with 12 Months in View which starts today.

I hope you have enjoyed loooking through my journal.

Thanks for popping by.

  4. Awesome pages Bernice, but I have a question, did you make the journal? If so how did you put it together. What binding method...I would love to create one for me.... : )
