Q is for Qualities

If you want to join in with making an A to Z of Me Journal through the month of February click through to the Challenge blog.

Here on this blog I am going to share how I made the page for today's prompt on Qualities.

As you can see the shaving foam had crept onto this page too but that's what happens when you work directly into a journal so I ignored it and wrote with a white wax crayon on the page.  I couldn't decide whether to do a random pattern but in the end decided to echo the words in the quote.

I put a wash of turquoise Dylusions ink over the page.

I sprayed through the stencil with two other colours of ink.

I inked the edges of the verse and the quote and stuck them down.  I stamped the word and coloured in the letters with a Glaze pen.  I went over the whole page with a lemon Distress Ink to try to tone down the turquoise.

I wrote my journaling around the words.

What qualities do you look for?

See you tomorrow.

  1. Another gorgeous page. Do you dilute your ink to do a wash, or just dip the brush in the bottle?

    1. I think in this instance I sprayed the ink and wiped it over the page with a wet wipe. If that isn't what I did, then I put some ink in a palette and painted it with a wet brush.
