Passport to Art Day 11

If you want to join in with making an altered book through the month of July click through to the Passport to Art challenge blog.

Here on this blog I am going to share how I made the page for today's prompt.  Today's inspiration is Ruth and the technique is to use Liquid Pearls.

You will remember from yesterday that I decided to fold the page over.  I thought it could be turned into yet another pocket!   I put the masking tape on.

I decided I would put the Liquid Pearls on the tag.  I like this heart so I used it twice on the tag.   I should have waited for the first one to dry before I did the second one as I squashed a bit of the first one doing the second one!

While that was drying I started on my page.  I thought I would use acrylic paint for a change.

I'm not convinced I made the right decision!  It has turned out to be far too bright.  I stencilled with the turquoise but that hasn't helped!  I put the doublesided tape on to make the pocket.

And stuck it down.  I stencil with a lighter turquoise paint and when that was dry drew with a black pen.

The page looked a bit blank so I added the stamped circles.

Then I added the quote and the verse.

And wrote the journaling on the back of the stencilled tag.

Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Oh I like the mix of brighter colours in your book and the additions look great - I love the circular stamps!

  2. I really like the asymmetrical hearts. Not sure I have liquid pearls, but maybe I'll use some perfect pearls or twinkling h2o's.
