Passport to Art Day 28

If you want to join in with making an altered book through the month of July click through to the Passport to Art challenge blog.

Here on this blog I am going to share how I made the page for today's prompt.  Today's theme is about adventures and the techniques was to use alcohol inks.

All of the remaining pages of my book are the index.  If I'd planned the book I might have left more map pages in and taken out more of the index pages.

I cut a piece of paper to match the page and covered it in gesso.  I put a first coat of alchol inks on as stripes.

I put another layer of ink on.

I stuck a tag to a piece of kitchen foil with Matte Medium and cut round it.

I used the felt applicator to put the alcohol ink on the tag.

I dropped some of the Blending Solution onto the inks which made the puddles.

I stuck the quote on the tag and stamped the feet with Archival Ink.

I cut the inked page to size and stuck it down.  I stuck down the verse and the map page strip.

Do you remember I left a couple of folded pages on Day 19?    Well I went to a tag workshop taught by Nicky where we tried out Distress Paints.  I've stuck the tags I made in my altered book.

Thanks for stopping by.

  1. These pages are great. I love that tag with the foil, very creative. I'm also in love with that stamp of the tiny foot. I hope you do a flip of the book in its entirety when you finish it. <3
